The Scouts on the Air program is a natural outgrowth of a recent camporee held in Darrouzett,
TX in 2022. The enthusiasm of the Scouts in earning their Radio Merit Badge and the interest
shown by Scouts who were not able to receive the training created an interest in having further
training for the Scouts.
CERT training covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself and maximize your capability to help for the greatest number of people after a disaster.
